Why i Write
I imagine people write for many reasons. They are good at it, they can make money at it, or they just need to get their thoughts down on paper. For me, writing is the one thing I am constantly searching for: consistency. Writing is like a best friend, it is always there waiting for your thoughts to materialize. Writing helps you get the emotions out and forces you to look at who you are no matter how wonderful or awful that may be. Writing is seen in black and white to those who do not understand it, but to those of us who are lucky enough to call writing an important part of our lives, it is all the colors of the rainbow. Writing is all emotions, allowing us it force the deepest difficulties of the heart out. Writing lets us be guilty, ashamed, helpless, lonely, and distraught. Through writing, we are stripped of all adornments and we are forced to just be. For me, that is the most difficult lesson to learn, to be ok with just being. Writing helps me to understand that it is ok to be human, to make mistakes, and to dust yourself off and continue on with your life journey. Writing is not just an activity for me, it is a necessity.
